This pixel picture was made for the exhibition „Twilight Zone - Art Hits Design“ in the Kunstraum Niederösterreich in an cooperation of Eva Beierheimer, Miriam Laussegger and Rüdiger Reisenberger.
Different kinds of fruit were cut into geometric cubes of 1,5 x 1,5 x 1,5 cm. The resulting fruit pieces were used as colored pixels and put together to a three-dimensional pixel picture with multiple layers, which was arranged on a base made of white Styrofoam. During the exhibition opening the visitors were invited to eat the pixel picture using toothpicks.
During the resulting disassemble process the pixel picture continuously changed its color face and form.
The whole process was filmed from above. |
