These screen prints are part of the series „Ice“ (9 parts). This work is based on pictures of ice-covered lakes and rivers. The waters surface shows structures caused by repeated freezing and thawing. Due to the wintry-foggy light conditions the scene is very low contrast. To achieve a similar impression white color on white cardboard is used for the screen print. Depending on angle of view and light incidence the faint structures appear and vanish.
